La Concha Resort Destination Wedding

Andrea and Max's destination wedding took place at La Concha Resort located in Condado. It's been a while since I had a wedding at La Concha from start to finish, sometimes we just do getting ready or receptions so I'm excited about this one!

For the most part we were indoors, we took advantage of the AC (you know it can get HOT) and used natural light the whole day (except reception), during their ceremony there was cloud coverage but bright enough so lighting in the late afternoon was on point.

Andrea and Max's wedding documentation started at their rooms with some very relaxed getting ready sessions, their wedding party consisted of maid of honor and best man.

Andrea's hair and make-up was ready by the time we arrived at room, we had more than hour with Andrea, we were able to have a complete portrait session since there were no delays with hair and make-up. I think you're able to tell she seemed very relax and present in the moment.

Keep in mind that small delays might affect other parts of your timeline later on the day such as couple's portraits or your own getting ready portrait session.

Nobody wants to feel rushed on their big day so letting your MUA know about your timeline (time you need to be ready by) is very important !

Sorry I got side tracked with this but it's truly noticeable and less stressful when things run as they should.

Max's getting ready was very fun because he and his brother (best man) decided to jump on top of the bed and that was just AWESOME.

Max literally got ready while I was shooting, thankfully his room was pretty tidy (rooms can get WILD :D) , his coverage is 100% organic except for any portraits of him posing.

Groom's getting ready tend to be simpler because... GUYS haha!

Andrea and Max chose to have a 1st look, GREAT IDEA! After their 1st look we walked around the property and did some portrait sessions prior to their ceremony. At this point in time couples can do and celebrate their weddings as they wish, with protocol or not as long as they enjoy their day. Thanks to that 1st look we had time after the ceremony for some detailed shots of their reception decor and we even snuck in

a beach photo session.

Sometimes it's not about having loads of time but more about having a timeline without any delays.

Andrea and Max's ceremony was very beautiful, they said their own vows. I'm a sucker for vows written by the couple so yeah I was teary eye.

Can we talk about their reception? WOW that party started right away, I think every soul in that ballroom was dancing NON STOP! It was so fun to watch and document. They had pleneros and a DJ, both rocked the dance floor.
