Greenville, SC Destination Wedding

I recently had the beautiful opportunity of traveling to Greenville, SC for Marielis and Carlos's wedding <3 .

Marielis and Carlos booked my services approximately 2 years (give or take) prior to their wedding date. We communicated so much throughout that time that by the time I met them personally I felt like I already knew them and that was awesome.

Marielis and Carlos had a very traditional religious wedding therefore they decided to go with a 9 hour package, religious ceremonies tend to take a bit longer.

They certainly chose a good amount of hourly coverage, they had 3 venues total during different stages of their wedding and Marielis planned two 1st look sessions (father and uncles).

It was exciting to see how the day developed without a wedding planner, it ran smoothly surprisingly. Make-up was on time and their chosen church had very strict rules in regards to their arrival time.

St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church always asks their couple to arrive 1 hour earlier, they provide separate suites for bride and groom to wait at.

Their arrival time + a 1st looked was a key part in having extra time for everything.

For their couple's portrait session natural light was dropping fast, we had 2 choices:

-Drive towards the reception venue 20 minutes away and most likely shoot flash portraits which steers away from my natural style (Twigs Tempietto).

-Shoot outside of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church with natural light.

I chose the 2nd option, I wanted to shoot with natural light (that's what I was hired for) and I wanted to highlight South Carolina's architecture with brick walls and a slightly darker background color palette since it's very different of what I shoot normally in Puerto Rico.

I fell in love with Twigs Tempietto automatically, they offered a buffet style dinner and minimalistic beautiful decor.
